Trip to Wonderland
I closed my eyes. It was early morning and the airplane just took off. I was going on another fantastic vacation with my family. It was my first trip to the West Coast. It was planned to be a ski trip, but for me it was more than just that. It was another adventure, something new that would leave joyful memories about my time in the United States of America.
We landed in Portland, Oregon, rented a car, and headed toward Mount Hood. It was marvelous to observe how the weather and nature was changed during our drive to the mountain. Gradually the snow appeared. We even had to put tire chains on the car. Giant and mighty pine trees towered over the road. We entered a winter wonderland. The landscape was impressive. I felt as if I were transported back in time to my childhood, to the fairy tales my mom read to me. During our trip we visited two mountains: Mount Hood and Mount Bachelor. The second one located south of the first one. For this reason, the scenery was different too, the appearance varied. If Mount Hood was mightier, Mount Bachelor was more graceful.
