Opposition to Liberal Arts Education in College
A liberal arts education, intended as an education that accomplishes, achieve teaching and learning specific skills, and also something less tangible but more profound: the imparting of knowledge, good judgment and wisdom and also as one of its fundamental goals, the imparting of culture from generation to generation does not give a proper or promptĀ technical/vocational credentials likeĀ scientific faculties of electronic communications, computer information, industrial design, technology management, environmental engineering, interior construction etc.
In these colleges, a liberal arts education could appear as a minor branch because not based on professional technical studies. If part of an admission college test, a procedure for critical evaluation; a means of determining the presence, quality, or truth of something and not intends as a simply series of questions, problems, or physical responses designed to determine knowledge, intelligence, or ability, could appear as an obstacle to who did not follow musical or other artistic courses before.
