Teacher observation method is a quantitative method of measuring classroom behavior through direct observation, the events that the teacher discerns and records in per taking his responsibilities. The instructor collects data that focus on the frequency of behaviors that occur in the classroom and takes into account the duration taken in per taking that foreign language. This involves giving students brief and clear explanations alongside a wealth of exercises for them to practice to perfection. This enables students to practice what they have learned, receive feedback from the tutors and apply the concept in writing about the foreign language. I observed the following teaching aspects when I attended a foreign language.

The teacher gave the students an outline of the topic of the day in the foreign language before the commencement of the class. The teacher gave students course outlines that guided the students through the prospects of the topic. This aspect got a positive feedback from the students since it gave them a structure of what they were supposed to per take all through the lesson. The students took 15 minutes to proofread the course outline so that they could make modifications, own interpretations, slants and theories about the topics in the foreign language (Trimble, 79). One doesn’t need to shed blood or offer his body to be burned just to become a hero. Touching lives and making a big difference is enough. Such are teachers.

Teachers are our modern day yet unsung heroes. They are surrogate parents, molders of young minds, and the epitome of integrity.

The school is our second home and within the portals of this institution are unsung heroes who spend their time, effort, and even money to make our educational journey worthwhile. Our teachers, like real moms and dads, shower us with love and understanding by providing a wholesome learning environment and by teaching us the necessary skills to survive in this harsh world. Furthermore, they give their best to make us learn, putting their patience to the test, so long as we can finally learn to stand on our own feet. (more…)

My approach to teaching stems from two beliefs: the first is that learning is a shared responsibility between student and teacher- both parties have to actively participate in the educational process; and the second is that different students have different mentalities and hence different perceptions of what a teacher has to say. In any field of study it stands true that no matter how lucid a teacher’s explanation is, some students will not grasp the concept forthwith. Mathematics is no different, in fact it is more so.

I see mathematics as a discipline that holds a plethora of problem solving techniques. To optimally use these techniques to understand and see the beauty of the subject, and to actively engage the students in the educational process I believe that traditional teaching methods, a variety of applications, and modern technology should be blended in the classroom.
